FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF MONTESSORI STUDIES
Florida Institute of Montessori Studies (Teacher Training ) is composed of a group of working Montessori professionals joined together to study, develop and promote Montessori concepts. The primary goal of the Institute is to increase the availability of Montessori education. To this end, Teacher Training offers this educational opportunity as a means of providing more qualified Montessori teachers to the community and as an opportunity for individual professional growth and development.

A UNIVERSAL CONCEPT
Montessori education is both a philosophy of child development and a rationale for quality in that development. This special method, named for Italian physician Maria Montessori, stresses the importance of the development of a healthy self-concept, not merely a search for intellectual skills. The Montessori teacher is an important key in assisting each child with unlocking his/her inner resources. Montessori schools are increasing in number and Teacher Training offers quality instruction to individuals desiring to be Montessori teachers. These teachers assist students in achieving a life-long positive learning experience through Montessori Concepts.

PLACEMENT FOR MONTESSORI TEACHERS
Montessori Schools are geographically universal and teachers who are mobile will find numerous opportunities for employment through Early Childhood Credentials.

TRAINING SITE FOR Teacher Training
Our facility is located on two acres in Brevard County on the "Space Coast" of Florida, just five minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.
